June Round-up

Phew!….. Busy, busy, busy!!!! ☀️

Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday’s Repair Cafe, and we missed those of you who couldn’t make it.

Despite a number of people being on holiday etc, there were 22 of us taking part yesterday: with a great turn out from the  ‘Crafters Corner’ team, who were celebrating ‘World-Wide Knit in Public Day’… the clicking of rapidly moving needles could be heard throughout the building…..

A big shout-out also goes to the Textile Team, who, having expected a quiet morning, ended up turning their hands to a variety of challenges bought in by repairers - including a tent with a hole in it! (No, Dick and Kevin, that doesn’t mean that you can bring the other 21 tents in for repair!)

We looked at 36 items:

- 21 were fixed;

- 3 not fixed;

- 8 where advice was given (with some coming back next month)

- 4 which are ongoing 

We had 28 visitors.

Our next Cafe will be on Saturday 12th July.
