April 26 Round-up

It was another great day for our team of repairing hands on Saturday.

We were down some big hitters on the admin and repairing side, but we delivered all the same!

38 visitors came along, and we looked at 43 items, of which:

- 16 were repaired

- 15 were partially fixed or advice was given

- 3 items are returning next month

- 2 items were not fixed

- 7 items were taken home

- Also, 3 successfully repaired items from the March Cafe were returned

There were some new faces at the cafe - we welcomed new volunteer Matt , and a couple of photographers.  One, a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteer is supporting us with content for Facebook and the website - this may involve photos or video.

We are moving forward with the project to open a second cafe a month - this is likely to be on the fourth Wednesday of the month 2-4pm at the Community Centre on Cromwell Road.  We'll let you have more details as things progress.

The next Café will be on Saturday 9th May.

As always, we thank our volunteers for their support of the Repair Café - being part of the admin team we get to see and hear how happy people are with their experience when they are leaving - there really is a sense of well-being created above and beyond the repaired items.
