March 26 Round-up

Whilst we may have been ‘low on numbers’ (27 of us) that certainly didn’t stop us looking at 43 items on Saturday! Thanks go to everyone who was able to make it – and for being so flexible in turning your hands to the many ‘un-expected’ jobs.

We had 48 visitors, and, of their 43 items:

-       23 were repaired

-       9 are ‘ongoing’ jobs (either at the next Café or at home)

-       4 couldn’t be fixed

-       6 where advice was given

-       1 which was partially fixed

We also returned four successfully repaired items from the February Cafe.

Congratulations to those repairers who managed to make ‘miracles’ happen by merely plugging in the items that their owners had bought in!

Thank you to Cally for the mouth-watering sausage rolls.

A big ‘shout out’ goes to Gordon and David, who spent virtually the whole session battling with a deep-rooted paper jam in a Brother printer – a great success!

Well done ‘textile team’, who had an incredibly busy table throughout the morning with jobs ranging from holey cashmere jumpers to torn sails on a model sailing boat.

The next Café will be on Saturday 11th April .
