February 26 Round-up
Another ‘stunning’ Saturday, and our thanks go to everyone that was able to join us.
There were 32 repairers and helpers, with 41 visitors … phew - no wonder it felt so busy!
It was great to see Sean back with us, and we are delighted to welcome Gordon who will be trialling our new four-month youth-programme 👋
Big thanks to the PAT (electrical safety testing) team, Sam and Kevin, who in addition to our usual ‘in’ and ‘out’ testing of electrical items, also tested circa 8 items for the Elmbridge CAN project https://www.elmbridgecan.org.uk/ 👏
The Bridge project also left delighted at the repair of their automatic coffee machine! https://www.waltoncharity.org.uk/thebridge
We looked at 35 items yesterday:
- 23 were repaired
- 7 couldn’t be fixed
- 4 where advice was given, and
- 1 is ongoing
We also returned a further 3 items from last month!
Well done everyone 🥇
It’s always lovely to hear from our visitors - the following was received after this Cafe:
I would just like to write and thank you for your wonderful service which is truly exemplary and so well organised. I was so pleased to return home with both a working shredder and lamp. It can sometimes be very difficult if you are older and not particularly computer savvy to get anything done. I shall certainly recommend you to anyone who needs something fixed. Thank you again.
Our next Cafe will be on Saturday 14th March
